Do you have a strong customer focus? Are you interested in gaining experience in events, looking to kickstart your career, or returning to the work place following a break?
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Event Administrator to join our team and contribute to the smooth delivery of all Society for Endocrinology (SfE) group events.
Providing support to the events team, you will be involved with all aspects of running SfE Group events pre-event, onsite, and post-event.
You will support the registration process for delegates, speakers, staff, officers, and exhibitors, and provide on-site assistance at conferences. You will be responsible for preparing and distributing event materials, including agendas, name badges, and handouts, as well as providing administrative support for committee meetings.
You will assist the events team with a range of projects and offer general support across all event activities. This includes managing event-related mailboxes, monitoring incoming emails, and supporting the management of delegate hotlines. With strong communication skills, you will also handle all enquiries from delegates, speakers, staff, officers, exhibitors and suppliers in a professional manner.
We are looking for an individual with proven administration, organisation and multi-tasking skills. With excellent attention to detail, you will be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, in terms of dealing with clients, staff and suppliers.
You’ll have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office along with knowledge and experience of using a range of databases. An effective team player, but also self-reliant, you’ll have a can-do attitude and have the ability to work under pressure whilst remaining professional at all times.
The ability and willingness to travel as required is essential for this role. A driving license would be useful but not mandatory.
If you are interested in this role but your past experience may not quite align with every requirement, we would strongly encourage you to apply. We are keen to find the best person for the job rather than ticking every box and we value unique perspectives and fresh ideas. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all team members feel valued, respected and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.
